It all depends on where your skills are. Africans and Poles aren't competing for every job. Anyone who is looking for part time employment will struggle alright. My sister is in that boat, as she tries to finish college.

My skills are few and far between, this was a security job and I'm trying to finish college and I went 3 months without earning a penny before I packed my bags, I was depending on the money tbh. I think the only thing I can be guaranteed work in is teaching English to foreigners, the irony  |

Well you had quite a few posts in reply to Jim and myself so you must have been on the drink for a while, either that or you realized you were wrong or perhaps didnt understand the situation properly. I do try and answer every post that is put to me and I normally take it that people are being serious and when people follow the same line in their posts over days then I hold the belief that they are being serious and not trying to winde me up or provide me with bait. Its a pity though as this had for the main part been a good thread and an interesting thread where I have seen a change in some of Jims attitudes and opinions. |

Eehh all part of an education I suppose. Learnt a lot since this forum shut down and met a lot of people with different point of views. I still believe in the same things I did back then, well, most of them, but I've justified them to myself properly and not just believed in them because it was the right thing to believe in. |

I must apoligise to you Wasp. While a lot of what I said was poorly constructed and put across badly under the influence. Some was simply mischievious and I apologise to you. I have no interest in petty point scoring and wish to avoid being sucked into such exercises. But under the influence I tend to indulge in this. On the whole I try to avoid such baiting and now feel embarressed at myself.
I know what I was trying to achieve, but the way it was constructed was of poor quality, and thus the point is now lost, and it would be too difficult to retrace.

I fucking detest racists and while many catholics are racists in Lurgan the only ones attacking them are loyalists from Mourneview. My wee sis recently commented to me about them coming here and taking jobs, I was quick to point out to her that millions of Irish have immigrated to the 4 corners of the globe in search of a better life just like the poles etc are doing now.
