Did he order, plan, execute, lie to a young Catholic mother that her son would be safe, sanction/order a man to become a suicide bomber, sanction hundreds of cold blooded sectarian attacks, sanctioned/ordered/planned/executed hundreds of attacks that thankfully were thwarted by the securtiy forces, lead a terrorist organisation for decades, give the ok for the Enniskillen bombing and the would be massacre of children at a nearby boys/girls brigade parade, was he a police tout like McGuiness is suspected of being etc etc. The list is endless and your comparisons are idiotic to say the least.

It is like trying to reason with a brick wall than reason with you. What murders did Trimble plan/execute/sanction? What attacks did he plan/execute/sanction?

And yes the amount of blood does matter and it also depends on the reaon the blodd is spilled. Take a terrorist trying to kill an unarmed civillian and they bump into the SAS, then that is a completley different story concerning the spilling of blood or let's say someone is in the ira for a few years but turns his back on their violence and regrets any part they played, then again that cannot be compared with dedicated terrorists who for decades planned/executed/sanctioned cold blooded sectarian barbaric attacks.

I have to say I do tire of republicans clutching at straws in this way. Unionist polititions, while sometimes their rhetoric left a lot to be desired, and may have caused some idiots blood to boil and go out and do something stupid, even evil. In no way can you compare them with the leadership of SF/IRA they were one and the same, even they have stopped trying to deny it, the dogs on the street know it. They were a political party and one of the most ruthless terrorist organisations the world has ever produced. To compare them to a bunch of foot in mouth idiot polititions is laughable.
