Anyone ever heard of the phrase "a little knowledge is a dangerous thing?" Yeah they didn't need to know a lot about you to set you up to be murdered

No I never suggested you personally, I know that's not what you meant when you said that. It was a wise crack, I suppose uncalled for, but I couldn't resist it. We were discussing Marty here not you mate.

IMO that lying bastard McGuinness should come clean and stop denying what everyone else knows. If he can't he should resign immediately, how can any country/government have a bastard like that as deputy?
If one of the leaders of say the uvf was deputy in the republic and he knew and sanctioned the Dublin bombings etc wouldn't Irish people be calling for his resignation and that is only on the Dubnlin bombings nevermind 3 decades of atrocities by him and his ilk.

We had the Fine Gael government that help the British Government bury evidence and who reined in the Garda Investigation. Does that count? Is that the same government that had its leader (Irish pm)arrested and another td charged with getting arms for the ira etc? Why don't you take that up with your government? So now alledged burying of evidence puts everyone in the same category as Mcguinness. Could you please practice what you preach and stay on topic. If they are in the same make up as McGuinness then of course it counts. Now instead of diflecting from my question, avoiding my question etc is there any friggin chance of you actually answering it instead of going off on some waffle?

Can't think of any Fine Gael TD or PM that was arressted on charges with the IRA. Comparing Fine Gael to Fianna Fail is like comparing Tory to Lib Dem or something stupid. Fine Gael have as much sympathy for republicans as you do. Nah even, they're probably even more hardline than you are, bunch of partitionist bellends that they are. Simply saying "Government" is like me blaming the UK Labour party on Thatchers policies since they eventually got into office again. Mate, thats just not acceptable on politics, its not as simple as that.
So, in conclusion, not even Fianna Fail would be in the same makeup as McGuinness. Keep in mind Wasp, that any Fianna Fail collusion with the make up of the IRA (and thus McGuinness's role) was because the Provos were not a threat to the Republic, whereas the stickies were, trying to crack they were socialists and promoting class conflict north and south.

Probably becaus ethey don't want to upset Stormont along with the possibility people would be too scared to testify along with those who would not testify against there own. IF everyone knows so much about collsion between the security forces and loyalists from O'Droans report why no case?
Now are you going to answer my questions or not setanta??

If you are going to only answers that suit you then why demand answers yourself, why dissect posts demanding answers? If you are unable to answer all questions instead of ONLY THOSE that suit your line of thinking then don't expect anything different form me, Clear? sTILL NO CHARGES EVEN THOugh those blamed on the report asked for charges to be brought against them. Yeh right. If both governments security forces, intelligence groups, former comrades, locals etc etc all stated that it was true wouldn't they still be calling for prosecutions? Anyway you said those involveds should have been court marshalled, so that would mean the northern command, 2 southern units and 1 nothern unit. If (for your sake) McGuinness was guily of this then I take it you wouldn't want him as a leader of any form of sinn fein?

Yes quite which means the usual ducking and diving along with the waffle to do with questions you don't like. So O'Droans findings are fact but the findings of intelligence services both sides of the border are not? As you should well know, no amount of evidence gaurantees a conviction unless it was video evidence etc. Err thast wasn't my question , that was just your usual waffle. I said IF (for your sake), you just can't answer it can you without giving out some waffle that doesn't answer the question. Why were the three units not stood down istead of your lies that only one unit was involved?

So the vast majority of Unionists are robin red breasts, I suppose tis beeter than being magpies or vultures. ;D ;D
Sorry setanta both the Irsih and British intelligence agencies say different. What issues would you have with it, would you want him to stand down, be court marshalled etc? Having issues with something can mean alot OR very, very little. Could you explain further what you mean by that?
I did not say only video evidence guarantees a conviction, there has been plenty of convictions without video evidence. What I was saying was that evidence does not always guarantee a conviction no matter how good the evidence is.

Ok I welcome your input here but it either shows how naive you are or you are trying to defend the undefencable. I think you know fine rightly that enniskillen was not a one off, you have years of factual proof and I think you know at least McGuinness role in the ira. Maybe you should read up on Patsy the Catholic canteen worker who was forced to become a suicide bomber and then take a look at the many times the ira targeted civillians.
If you believe the facts, if you see the facts (video evidence, witness evidence etc etc) then you will be calling for him to have no part in your party.

and among the Unionist Leaders of the time, are there any without blood on their hands? No there isn't because they were all involved in Vanguard or one of the other paramilitary groups. It was a conflict WASP. Setanta who on earth are you trying to kid here??? You are not comparing like with like and everyone here knows that. Your defence of this coward is unbelievable but not surprizing, if they convicted him of any crime you would still be claiming the same bullshit.

Take your blinkers off and stop trying to put everyone on the same level as that lying bastard McGuiness. You know fine well there is no comparing the likes of Trimble with the cowardly McGuinness. Only a fool would try to do so or rather a group of fools. If you want to go into the history of each of these people, look at what they were involved in, look at what they were senior figures in and for how long, look at how they reacted over the years to any violence from whoever etc then I am more than happy to.
