I'm starting a new job monday week, after 2 years loyal service to my current paymasters. I finish up my current job today. This will affect my frequency on this forum, but I'm not too sure how yet. I know I'll have to keep a low profile for the first month or so, so I reckon my posting here will be severely limited (if at all). Hopefully, I can return to relative normalization after the settling in period is over. This is worst case scenario though. It may be business as usual!

The current job just doesn't pay enough. The new one is a hefty increase in wages to my current wage packet. Needless to say I'm chuffed, but also sh!tting it, since it'll mean more responsibillities, plus I'm getting in over my head. I'll be a network administrator. Never done it before, so I'll be playing catch-up for the first few months, praying that no-one finds out I'm a fraud and fires me!

Hopefully. TBH, the last two jobs, including my current one, were initially over my head. It's like what a mate said to me the other day, if you're not in a job where you sh!t yourself with fear everyday because you don't have the answers right away, then you're not at the right wage level!

Sounds like a good job, good luck.
A lot better than mine, 15 hour shifts through the night in east belfast, with about 5 hours sleep a day.

I'll be a network administrator. Cool, everyone will hate you, and when they f**k something up, it will be your fault. We give our network admins a hard time. I actually told one on the phone today to quit being such a muppet......hope you dont work in Ballsbridge. If you do I'm sorry.
