I would like to ask the SFers here how would SF react if they lost their position as the dominant party in NI. It is a hypothetical Q but a legitimate one I feel.
If SF lost its influence and became a minority party, would it support a return to IRA violence or would it go down the peaceful route of rebuilding the party?
I ask because I do not trust SF. I feel they have turned to peace only because it suits them at the minute. Is violence off the agenda for good, or does it remain an option in future?

They started turning to peace after the British government lifted the media ban on them. That was long before they were becoming a big player in the process.
Its a bit like asking would the DUP support loyalist paramilitaries again if it lost its dominant spot. This peace is only peace because it suits most people at the minute, not just Sinn Fein.
