A Londonderry woman has said she was struck with a brick during a sectarian attack on Monday night.
Linda McGarrigle from the city's mainly Protestant Fountain estate said a youth also spat in her face.
She said between 30 and 40 youths were on Fountain Street shouting sectarian slogans and she was attacked as she tried to move her car.
Meanwhile, in the city's Waterside, a pensioner had her windows broken in another suspected sectarian attack.
Betty McKnight, an 83-year-old widow from Bann Drive, said it was not the first such attack on her home.
"It is like a way of life... It was scary last night. I have a big family and they give me plenty of support.
"People keep saying 'Why do you stay there?' I'm nearly 60 years in this house and I don't see why I should move," she said.
