The first IKEA store in Ireland opened its doors today without any of the traffic disruption feared by the police.
A massive traffic management plan was put in place as thousands of people were expected to turn up for the opening of the massive outlet near Belfast.
However, the numbers were only in the hundreds, many of them from the Republic, and they queued quietly after arriving without any delays.

Wait until the weekend. I'd safely say that the majority of licence plates in the car park will be Dublin reg and it will be chaos.

2 people where on the news saying how they just happened to be the first ones in smiling away after their crowning glory although they forgot to mention they had slept in the car all night and queued from dawn, idiots.

C'mon give them a bit of credit. They needed some new pillows, too.
