Its a joke that our largest stadium can barely hold the same amount of people as some first division clubs in england.

Linfield are taking the IFA to court if i read rightly over something that was signed years ago stating that all NI games would be played at windsor for 104 years. The IFA looking for a new stadium are using a clause in this agreement which indicates that Linfield should keep the stadium in good repair and this obviously hasn't happened. Its a bloody mess and with all the rows over where this new stadium should be!!!! The stadium should be located in Belfast end of, stuff the maze. Windsor is a joke of a national stadium

Casement Park Stadium is in Belfast, it is in good condition. On the main arterial road, with a bus stop right outside. Close to the M1 motorway junction. And I am sure the GAA would rent it out at a reasonable rate, should the IFA need a better home.

Well there is always Casement Park, named after that fine British diplomat Roger Caesment! ;D Cant see that happening! Casement park is right smack in the middle of Andersonstown just off the Falls road. Plus, its a shithole.

If it is in andytown it would make the idea less likely to happen. NI needs it own national stadium, modern and equipped for different sports and concerts etc. Do you think the GAA would allow NI matches to played there??

Not a prayer. I was only joking about asking them. There's no way the Ulster Board would have it, under the present circumstances............ an all Ireland soccer team may have a very very slim chance but not a NI one. Why would a NI team not have a chance?? Why are the GAA so funny about other sports using their stadiums??

;D BECAUSE THEY'RE OURS! GET YER BLEEDIN OWN! Yez keep squandering all yer sheckles and then come running to us when you're out of money and realise your home is a pit. While the ant works and saVes all day the geasshopper larks and plays. Soccer in Ireland are the grasshoppers ;D Only joking We're in compitition for sponsorship, funding and players- being the main point plus the GAA has a 32 County Nationalist Ethos, British State forces have moved into and occupied GAA grounds and taken over for decades- being secondary because they're moving out now plus there is a civil relationship between soccer teams and GAA teams in the 26 counties with some sharing/renting pitchs and facilities with each other. That relationship doesn't exist in the 6 counties with the IFA. Some one has to put their hand out first. The GAA needs to break free from the chains of the past and lose its anti british hetoric. However we have many threads on the GAA so we'll not get into that. I didn't realise the GAA and football actually compete with each other. Learnt something new

Casement park wouldnt be used by the IFA even if offered. The only benefit is it would open the NI team to the nationalist community and most of us support the Republic first internationally anyway, but the place is hardly designed as an international stadium the way Croke park was able. Its a shit hole.

And yeh, they do compete with each other. The GAA is popular all over Ireland as is Irish football and honestly the GAA are winning that one. Football in the north is dominated by two teams and I've only ever paid attention to the Scottish and English leagues, like most people. The GAA is a lot more popular at least where I live.
