Well I am glad he is for doing so, but I only wish it happened years ago over and over again to show in particular what Marty the spy really is like.3

Jim the same kind of proof that made the informers/touts etc guilty as hell and were tortured to death even though McGuiness guaranteed the safety of one in particular to his mother. I always wander with so much local knoweldge of his rank and membership in the ira that he was never sentenced here. Bit suspicious don't you think.

Most informers where caught red handed through various ways after suspicions. Local knowledge isnt enough to send away someone, if it was that simple it would be like witch hunting, anyone and everyone can shout witch.

Most informers were caught red handed? ?? Anthony Braniff, a senior member of the IRA killed in September 1981; the IRA have issued an apology for his death and confirmed that he was not an informer Seamus Morgan, an IRA member and election worker for Bobby Sands, abducted in February 1982; his body was found on 6th March 1982; his family denied he was an informer Patrick Scott, a former member of the IRA whose body was found on 3rd April 1982; he had given himself up to the IRA in order to convince them he was not an informer Brian McNally, another IRA member whose status as an informer is disputed, found tortured and killed in July 1984 Damien McCrory, found dead in October 1985; the IRA said he had confessed to being an RUC informer, but he was of low inteligence and any such confession must have been questionable Gerald Holmes, murdered in August 1992, after the IRA extracted a taped confession that he had been an informer, which his family do not accept

Families can deny their brother or father or whatever where informers but most wont know anyway. The only people who will know are the other party, the informer, and most likely elements of the IRA. Not me, not you. How many suspected informers did the IRA kill WASP? How many people have you listed and where did I say "all informers" because clearly your post was done in the mind that I meant "all informers".
But, aye, okay, clearly your an expert on the IRAs stance on informers anyway.

I am no expert on the iras stance on alledged informers but take the walk in informer butterknife, he killed some to save his own skin. Now if you read my post you will see I used your words as in 'most informers' so my post was replying to that comment.
Does the ira have forensic science etc at there disposal to prove if informers were really informers? Or did they rely mainly on hearsay and word of mouth. Butterknife is a classic example.
