The launch of the Belfast Reconciliation Network was credited as the first meeting of the IRA Army Council and the UDA Inner Council as well as leading UVF members.

In 2005 Sean 'Spike' Murray was named as an IRA Army Council member, also present was UDA 'Brigadier' Jackie McDonald, Orange Order deputy chaplin Mervyn Gibson (and ex-RUC special branch), Republican Booby Storey (Maze Escapee leader), UPRG Frankie Gallagher, UVF Tom Roberts, UDA John Bunting, also 'Officials' from the NIO and the Republic's Foreign Affairs Dept, and Martin McAleese (husband of Irish President, Mary).

The purpose of this group is to help solve interface issues.

Forgive my naivity, but isnt membership of the IRA and Loyalsit groupings illegal?

Which is why news journalist 'acredit' and 'aledge' rather than risk libel court cases. As if proof exists that could stand up in court we might expect arrests.
