Cuts to affect us all

With the dire warnings of the massive cuts ahead for us in the UK I was wandering how people here would tackle such debt and the same question can go for those from the republic.

For me I would cut or stop the following.

1) All immigration from outside the EU apart from those from the much needed medical proffesion for 12 months.

2) Put a cap on immigration from within the EU and review it every 6 months.

3) Put a stop to all glossy council leaflets

5) All top civil servants take a pay cut of 10% for 12 months, middle grade civil servants to take a 5% cut with lower grade only taking a pay freeze.

6) Stop all payments to parties such as sinn fein who refuse to take their westminster seat

7) Cut as much red tape as possible in the public sector.

8) Cut down the number of managers right through the public sector

9) Raise income tax by a penny for those earning between 15k and 25k, by 3p fpr those upto 40k, by 5p then 6p etc every 10 or 15k

10) Scrap most of the quangos

11) Cut ridiculous private housing benefit to greedy landlords

12) Work for your dole money

13) cut out alot of the so called politically correct inititives throughout the country

You'd expect to see the immigration points in the Daily Mail. Immigration probably brings more labour to the country thus production thus money than the British could cope with themselves.

Parties such as Sinn Féin still do the work they're elected to do, the only thing done when taking a seat at Westminster is "debating" (if even) and voting, which is in the end, rigged in favour of the Government as its not exactly private votes!

They already make a lot of people on the dole volunteer for organisations.

What politically correct initiatives?

Sf should not be given nor should they take a single penny from their Westminster seats, hypocrites.

Immigration is a major problem and we all know it, the country can hardly cope with those that are here sponging (not including those that work) nevermind keep bringing more and more in at these levels.

Politically correct initiatives as in all the wasted money that the tax payers pay for such as having a highly paid civil servant promote the idea of how great councils are along with all the other naff ideas where money is wasted promoting the views of some gays, religions, cultures etc instead of going where it is most needed.
