Oh, i meant the provos. The ones who killed children. almost every military organisation on this earth has killed children mate, its just a matter of being told if they do it or not. That makes me want to go to Dublin Its 3 grand a year in the UK excluding Scotland thanks to Anto Blair.

They did not represent Ireland, no matter what they claim. If they were an army, they should have attacked the british military only. Not planting bombs in civilian areas. I dont care what other armies do, i will hold any ''irish'' army to a high standard. If britain or whoever else wants to lower their standards, let them, they will only lose the battle for hearts and minds. Which is what happened with the black and tans- the IRA largely stayed way above the ruthlessness of the tans and the auxies. so i cannot accept any justification for the provos actions. Were you considering coming to UCD? It can be good, but it can be quite hard to settle into if your not from dublin.

Me too, we rented our books as well, its a good idea.
Fair enough, but i would suggest an initiative at trying to address the gender imbalance. I know quite a lot of males around my age who are unable to become primary teachers. The entry requirements are somewhat biased towards females.
im not sure im comfortable with that amount of CPOs, is that not giving the state too much control? although i do appreciate the sentiment behind it, it seems like it could be unworkable, there could be massive opposition. SF would really need to be a majority party to implement this IMO.
Incidentally, how many seats are ye hoping to get? realistically? would you be satisfied with 10?

I dont want to get into the provo debate but I dont see them as terrorists or an army, they're simply a paramilitary organisation. I dont care much for labels because in the end they wear the uniform they come under discipline they have a political cause and they shoot people, same as "real' armys. Otherwise, I'm agreeing with you, they shouldn't have done some of the things they done and should have stuck at military targets which are legitimate in my eyes. But what do we matter eh? Nah man I'm not considering going to UCD anymore I couldn't find information on it and I've settled into England now but I was thinking about it last year before I applied to any universities. I've heard if you leave the UK for 10 years they wipe your student debts or something. A bit slimey but its an option ;D
