Harry me oul mucker, what do you make of all this? I have to say that I was fairly down over the whole saga. I never had much time for Real Madrid (feckin' Franco's team, I was always more a Barca admirer, especially after that trashing they gave Utd in the champs league in the mid 90's.)
Can't blame him though after what Benitez did to him last summer in that Barry saga.

Gutted we lost Alonso and given our poor start its obvious we will miss him. Lucas isn't up to it.
I know Rafa treated him a little badly but the fans backed him 100% and even sang against Barry which must of annoyed Benitez. If he wanted to go we had to seel him.
I just hope this new fella is up to it. Its those 2 owners we need shot of, i despise them. I went to the pre season game against Madrid and we were shocking, we've been shocking all pre season...

I was willing to give Lucas another chance, then he goes and gives away a free kick and then scores an own goal from it. Then again, all the top players were piss poor against Villa. Gerrard and Kyut could pass the ball to save their lives. Torres is looking a bit too stroppy. He used to just get up and get on with it. Johnson though has looked like he's worth every penny and Insua is starting very strong.

With all the will in the world i just can't see Lucas ever being good enough. Its too early to panic but we are short in depth and are broke..........i fear Rafa will walk over broken promises

I am fully prepared for another season of heartache and frustration. With Man City and Arsenal looking good, and Chelsea off to a good start, we may even struggle for a top 4 finish at this rate.
