While I am sure many will poo-poo the idea of any collusion whatsoever between security forces in NI and loyalist paramilitary groups, the upcoming inquries here should be interesting. Mind you, it will only be a "few bad apples" again, won't it? So that's all right then..... www.guardian.co.uk/Northern_Ireland/Story0205345800/.html(i removed the commas, Setanta)

Bearhunter that link is not working because of two comma's in the address, have you another link, as various combo's are not producing the article.

I can't get the link but I will forget the few bad apples link. I will go with what many republicans think about collusion for sake of arguement. Thing I don't understand if they are correct about collusion then why go along with the British line of supporting the very people who colluded to kill them???

Aye, there's the rub! Precisely the arguement going on in republicanism, today. I suppose when we sort it for ourselves we can get back to you, wasp.

mactalla that was a serious point I was making though. So was mine. Many of us are struggling with the policing issue and for some it has become a bridge too far. Personally, I am willing to see how things play out, at least for a while. I have spent most of my adult life with one political ideal. I respect and honour those who have fought and sacrificed all these years for that ideal and I am going to continue to trust them on this one, even if it is one I find very questionable.

Out going (police) Oversight Commissioner Al Hutchinson (former mountie) says it will be at least another 10yrs before there is a real difference in the PSNI.
And the bill for the devolution of policing and justice passed through its parliamentary stage despite a bid by Tory Lord Trimble to skuttle it.
