Kenneth Bloomfield former head of the NIO said the other day on tv (he has a book released by publishers recently) that he too is sorry for the part he played in perpetuating the 'troubles'. Something I did not expect him to say so forthrightly.

If he played a part in perpetuatung the troubles and he feels the need to say sorry then good for him. I hope there are alot more who feel the same from all sides.
