Northern Ireland has had many historic days in the last 40 years. October 5th, 1968 could be the most important. Well the program did state that a load of students who had been protesting about the Russian invasion in Belfast went to the first protest at Dungannon.

I wouldn't mind hearing your take on it WASP. To the best of my knowledge there were no Unionist Politicians interviewed, only 1 retired RUC officer. The original NICRA were fighting for the rights of all the working classes but republicans hijacked it for their own purposes. This says enough about it for me so I have no interest in such a bias programme, even the title is wrong, the troubles began long before 1968. More bias bbc coverage of the alledged 'civil' rights movement. lot of bollocks and I treat it with contempt. Enough said.

The day the troubles started was the day that monkey fecked the bone into the air, and it came down a space-ship.

The troubles began in 1155 when the only English Pope ordered the English King to invade Ireland and force the Irish people to bow to Rome. The English invaded Ireland and set up Romanism as the religion of the country. Sadly the Irish bowed down to Rome and have been enslaved by the Church that sits on the seven hills to this day. Perhaps someday the Irish will get the courage to join with the Ulster /British people and fight against the Roman Anti-Christ.

It shocks me how some people are still living in the dark ages, both with their unenlightened views and plain ignorance... "I do not believe in the creed professed by the Jewish church, by the Roman church, by the Greek church, by the Turkish church, by the Protestant church, nor by any church that I know of. My own mind is my own church" Thomas Paine "Religion is fundamentally opposed to everything I hold in veneration - courage, clear thinking, honesty, fairness, and, above all, love of the truth." Henry Macken

Religion is for scared people with weak minds and can be used by others to justify hatred towards other groups of people. What's the difference between a magic trick, sorcery and a miracle?

Religion is about control and always will be about control. Dreariest bunch of cunts around, there's never a happy day, they could sit in the rain all day shouting THOU SHALL NOT, THOU SHALL NOT.
We fucking SHALL!

Religion is about control and always will be about control. Dreariest bunch of cunts around, there's never a happy day, they could sit in the rain all day shouting THOU SHALL NOT, THOU SHALL NOT. We fucking SHALL! Jim I take issue with this. I do not want to control anyone and I do not shout thou shall not anyhwere. Now while you can show your disgust at religion and I fully support your freedom of choice, you also must respect others and allow them to voice their opinions. I believe, you don't so I am not going to try and shove anything down your throat to try to make you believe, I never have either. BUT I will not deny my faith and when people are asking or giving their views or lack of views I will give mine. Does that mean people like me have to be verbally abused and scorned because like you they are giving an opinion, but only a different one??
