Russia are threatened by NATO expansion. The president of Georgia is certainly trying to play a dangerous game. I'm totally uneducated in regards to the disputed regions so i won't make myself look silly by trying to comment on them.
Russia certainly used this situation for their gains. They have gone to far in my opinion. NATO will talk tough but there is very little it can do.

I don't think anyone is the good guy in this case. The fear here though is that Russia may use the outcome of this to try and re-invade ex-soviet countries.

While GEorgia certainly acted hastily and were wrong to do so, the Russians now carry much of the blame for the stand offs. They went to far with too much unneeded force against anyone who stood in their way. I agree with them acting to protect what they saw as an onslaught against people who claim to be Russian, but not the way they did it anmd not the way they are keeping there stance going.

Nato should be more worried about the ongoing situation in Pakistan what with them having nukes, then again it's just another American backed puppet government.
