I read in the news this morning that it was an U-14 team being threatened that they'd be kneecapped by a bunch of Loyalist thugs in their early 20's, who were also yelling 'fenian bastards' at them. The team had to spend the night in a homeless shelter. The match the next day had to be postponed for 4 hours to give the children a bit of extra time to recover from their ordeal. Apparently one guy was shouting that he had an uncle in Belfast who was going to see to them! Pathetic.

What complete fucking wankers. They are no Loyalists as far as i'm concerned. They are scum and i really hope the PSNI get hold of them. The Milk cup is one of the best youth comps in the world and is a good thing for NI. These idiots won't be allowed to ruin it.

These wankers are nothing short of being brain dead idiots who have tarnished an excellent sporting event where thousands come to enjoy the football watching countries from around the globe.
This has both saddened me and maddened me and I don't care who was responsible for it, they have no place in our society nevermind Coleraine. If it is the same people that it is rumoured to be then Catholic youths were among those shouting abuse. Its the same with the republican youths at waterside in the town, there are those from the Portestant community who join in with there sectarian attacks, there assaults on anyone regardless of who or what they are.
This crowd if it is the same crowd from ballysally are no different, although they don't all come from the estate. Big men with a few drinks in a crowd shouting abuse at a bunch of lads trying to do something with their lives, unlike the bastards that shouted the abuse.

I get the feeling that many of the "sectarian" attacks in NI are just cropwds of brain-dead, inbred chavs who shout fenians bastards or up the 'Ra purely to wind up their targets. The real reason they attack people is because they are communal minded gobshites who don't like anyone they don't know. And sadly, it's the same the length and breadth of Ireland and Britain.

On an added note it is good to see republicans on here seeing this mindless sectarian abuse for what it is and not trying to steamroll the big bad Proddies bandwagon. I am not being smart by that, I welcome your comments.

No moral high ground here. Sectarianism exists in both communities, and needs to be tackled. Doesn't matter who the victim or perpetrators are, and it's pointless trying to paint around 1 million people with the actions of a few drunk, brainless chavs, who would have a go at anyone really, and just use sectarianism and opportunity as an excuse in this case.
