It was a great site that went through many stages. I was banned a load of times, just for sticking up for the ROI, but in the end Carol took over and ended the purges. |

There is no good reason why we can't be on both sites, I must admit there was a strong feeling of nostalgia for me being on there again. It was the birthplace of TWF if you like, almost like coming home again after a long absense.

Its all a bit strange and i wouldn't be rushing back there until we find out what is going on. Loads of time for Carol and if she's involved again then it could looking positive. It was great though, looking at the old posts  |

I undestand loyalist/republican sites not wanting 'others' being members or trolling as it is worded, that is up to the admin etc and the ethos of the site.
Saying that I am all for sites such as this which are cross community where we can learn from eachother or at least gain a little understanding of 'themons'.

Just went through some of the old threads on the Love Ulster site. Some of the quotes from Orangemedic and Royalist are simply priceless. You really couldn't make them up. And to think neither of them are even British :-)

For those who weren’t comfortable, for one reason or another, in moving to the new location with many of the now TWF members, it is wonderful that LU has been revived and once again so many can come together and rehash old memories and laughter from where most of us had our beginning. Many are members of more than one forum, so posting both on TWF and LU is a great opportunity to reach out to people that we may not come in contact with if we stick with only one the forums. Setanta, along with Harry, have done an excellent job in getting the new TWF established and in keeping it going and it is obvious they have poured much time and effort into making it a success for us, so the idea of trading one for the other is out of the question. Thank you Setanta and Harry for all you have done and to all the faithful posters. |
