Being a bit of a dinosaur, I find a lot of these acromins a bit difficult to follow. Some I can work out but a few elude me still. Maybe a dictionary section to help those not fully fluent in 'text speak'.

I fecking despise "txt" talk mate. should be banned. if someone can't type in an intelligent manner they shouldn't even be allowed to debate. obviously some words can be abbreviated, but lets not all start acting like we're sending sms

Thanks Jim, I should probably start writing them down, I do actually have a dictionary of text speak, but alot are missing still. While I might have difficulty, I do see the logic in using such short-hand, but in debate the object is to get your point across in simple and in terms that are commonly understood. To use 'text speak' without first ensuring that the recipitant understands is self defeating to your own objective. Rather than ban all such communication, it might be better if you are going to repeat such short-hand that is the first case you signal up the intent of the acronym.
