The whole price hike thing is just profiteering, it is based on the fact that in the city, a barrel of oil is away over 120$. But who owns the oil in the first place, why the oil companies of course. And who sells the petrol? The same people. It is not like they have to go out into the market and buy the raw materiel (oil), to refine it into petrol. that already belongs to them. They are the ones taking it out of the ground. These companies were making profits that would make your head spin before these price hikes. Unlike other companies who give their profit/loss figures anually these people give their's every three months. They are terrified to tell you what profit they make anually. Unless you are a nerd or geek who would sit with a pen and paper and take their three motly figures throughout the year you won't know how much they make a year.
I'm not sure I support these lorry drivers though, they want special rates for them and to hell with everyone else. I did until I heard this. "An essential user", so the rest of us use our cars for fun?
