While I have sympathy for his family etc all I can say is good riddance, at least he is in the ground along with the thousands whom his party and there private army were responsible for.

This is someone who supported and could have been involved in the butchering of my community. He was part of the mouthpiece of the ira and I have no sympathy for him. I do hope though he made peace with his maker before he died which is more than can be said for the victims of his politics who never had the chance to do so.

Again your comparisons are ridiculous and you know it. Do as you please, you think it anyway or at the very least you supported each and everyone of them being killed which includes those soft unarmed members who never had any dealings with terrorists, they were just cops on the beat dealing with usual police stuff.

Well one officer I knew was only part-time, served in a mainly Protestant village, only ever worked at weekedns or the odd evenings to help cover sickness, holidays or the need for extra policing. He was well liked by everyone and never had any dealings with any terrorists here. The ira shot him unarmed in his mothers house, now he was reall what you call an enemy combatant, isn't he.
Now you can stick your respect for any tribute to them where the sun doesn't shine, I will never ever respect any republican that dies, was killed or is killed in the future UNTIL republicans show real repsect and remorse for the suffering that they purposely inflicted on my community and to this day still deny it.
Any republican that wanted officers like this killed nevermind anyother security force member deserves no respect, none at all when they bury there own.

Take the blinkers off WASP, EVERYONE suffered in NI during the troubles. Unlike a select section on NI's population, suffering isn't sectarian and shared itself around.

That's not even what I'm talking about: That'll be the day the Unionist community and the British government show remorse. Expecting one side to where ashes while ignoring the fact that it wasn't all one side is a blinkered argument. I've no blinkers as I accept that both sides suffered.

When did I ever say only oneside suffered? I helped move a Catholic family after there house was attacked so I am only too aware of the suffering both communities suffered. I have never ever said different. So you are talking about someone else or something completely different to me.
This scumbag supported that suffering which was heavily inflicted on my community, now wtf has that got to do with you coming out with me having blinkers on and only oneside suffered.
Obviously you haven't lived here to experience what you are trying to talk about.
Thanks for the new name setanta, I am surprized you didn't rename yourself that especailly with you commemorating the dissidents of the failed 50's campaign, or you ignoring the democratic wishes of all the other main political parties here for years and years.
