What was the woman thinking anyway? If she was refused entry legally, she was bound to know she would have to face the consequences if caught doing it illegally. Rather her than me.

She was on the radio this morning the stupid cow. She claimed she did nothing illegal but the interviewer pointed out that the place she went through made it illegal. She said her husband is reponsible for her release as he argued with the general holding her that she qualified for an Egyptian passport.

which i suppose she may well do as he is an egyptian citizen and it's obviously hardly a marriage of convenience given the age of her daughter. but the egyptians probably don't love foreigners sticking their nose into what they consider sensitive issues anyway.

and quite rightly to i'd say - well meaning foreigners are a pain in the arse and rarely have anything beyond an academic understanding of the situations they are dealing with.

I don't. Would rather British soldiers where brought home but I hardly ever talk about whats happening over there, not here, not in conversations.
