news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/northern_ireland/6651121.stmIt seems that even the Aliens want to come here. It is unsure if they want to claim creditation for begining the peace process also or just to stare at the Ian P and Martin Mc laughing together. They might be a bit put out that they did not receive invite to the grand day at Stormont or the day after when various ethnic groups were welcomed. How are they covered by immigration controls?? I bet they want low pay!

Immigration controls are now been put in place by the United Federation of Planets and all starships in the fleet will be issued with new equipment for blocking illegal teleportation which is a major problem for many planets due to the consequences of a low paid illegal Bajoran workforce sneaking in.

ah yes - Kira, possessed of all the things a real woman should have, including a form-fitting bodysuit They are doing all the DS9 boxsets cheap in HMV right now, although I could of course download the lot really I suppose although that would take some time. Gul Dukat will be running the new improved immigration controls in the UK as of next week. Offenders will be sent to to labour camps for 're-education' and forced to watch all four seasons of Enterprise - a fate worse than death!

Voyage was fairly shite yes* - to me the original star trek and DS9 are the most watchable of all the various Trek family of programs. The Tal Shiar from the Romulan side would be fairly good at running an immigration camp I'd say. Perhaps we should Michael McDowell in on it as well, only he's too nasty for ALL sides *mainly because to me it sold out on the basic idea of the ship been stranded a bazillion light years from home. There was little sense that the guys were stripped of all backup and resources and nothing seemed to wear out or need replacing often enough to be believable. I don' think the whole idea was thought true well.

yeah not a series that produced many memorable characters -that was part of what made ds9 special the way the main characters were well developed -even o'brien avoided too many of the obvious irish stereotypes.

it was yes - i remember that- god that was emberassing - he got far better development in ds9 and he's still the only major NCO we've ever seen in the show to get major screen time. Irish stereotypes in US fantasy/sci-fi are teeth-gritting at times.

I expect Harry will be censoring the discussion on sci-fi tv shows as they are not on topic. As the Aliens over Bangor/Newtownards were scout Borg ships and they left hurriedly as they were afraid of being assimulated by the local Orange Lodge, and everyone knows resistance is futile to that! As there is no talking your way out of that as the Orange Order do not talk.

Ahh but you can dream of her, investigating Aliens in Ireland. And if Setanta and Marcus get an imput she would be in tight fitting lycra, with phaser pistol.
