Although I still havent received a confirmation email, I can read posts but I am unable to post. No offence mate but much of that forums posts quting and stating catholic doctrine is very unbiblical and contrary to God's word.
I am not trying to offend you or anything like it, but I hope and pray the Lord will open your eyese to see the truth in his word mate and not some of what you currently believe.

Well it is a Catholic forum, I don't take offence if you say what you believe, I think in the past I have perhaps not been guilty of seeing that you must say what you believe and not what will please me or others. I have put up a link in one thread I'm posting to in that forum as most of the posters are American and many of them have rather a twee and outdate image of Ireland, some jaws have been dropping at some of the comments by people like Jim/Collina etc. as they see that Ireland is not the misty, green land of leprechauns full of the craic that some of them seem to think it is and that the reality is rather more down to earth.
By that same token I hope you can accept that for me I view the Church as containing the fullness of truth - note I don't say the individuals who are members of the Church, who can range from the saintly to the damned, but it's not my job to decided which is which.
If you do get a confirmation email and do decide to post there beware the moderators do come down like a ton of bricks if you go to far. They will accept you saying you view the Church as unbiblical or contrary to God's word so long as it is done politely to be fair and they do ban those who are rude from all denominations pretty equally.

I accept your views no matter what they are or no matter what faith if any you belong to. I would be a hypocirte if I preached to anyone but it is also my duty to point the truth in the direction of those who claim to follow God. I have much to learn concerning the bible and the will of our Lord so dont think for a second that I am trying to say I know it all, but in all honesty mate when you have stated some of the things you believe then I have to challenge them in the hope you will see what I am saying.
We have debated quite a number of points and you have not been able to show me how much of what you believe is biblical nevermind the fullness of truth. However while I repect your opinions I do wish you would dwell deeper into what I am saying. Compare salvation in the bible with the rcc, compare praying and who to pray to and compare what the bible actually teaches about Mary compared to what the rcc teaches and claims.

did you say you registered on the site i was mentioning wasp. The problem for us in comparing who has the fullness of truth si that you adhere to more of a sola scriptura model than Catholics who regard this as incomplete.
If you are using that site remember we can't carry on like we do here, you and I can shout at each other here and then take some time out and say, 'er maybe I was a bit over the top there' especialyl as I would say we are both fairly strong-willed individuals as is everyone here. If you do use that site there are a few anti-Protestant and anti-Catholic amadans that keep re-registering and getitng back in on that site before admin keep banning them again and again, some of what they have to say I find... emberassing... especially one lad who was saying Protestant by definition are fools the other day.
If you asked my honest and frank opinion of Protestantism I would say I regard Protestants as fellow Christians (I leave aside groups like SDA, JW etc - although even there I would say they are Christian inspired)but I feel as they are an offshoot from the main branch of the Church they do lack the fullness of the truth. I'd say that's found in the Catholic Church and is most evident apart from that in the various Eastern Orthodox Churches (members of the latter would say exactly the opposite it's worth nothing though).
There are some really intelligent Protestant and Catholic and non-Christian posters on that forum, that's what makes me keep on posting there, although like all internet forums there's also a fair ammount of garbage to wade through.

BA I would stand my ground on any forum but concerning religion we would get nowhere by going down someones throat in an abusive manner. I believe in sola scripture where nothing is to be added or taken away. I do not follow any attempts by any man promoting man made rules to suit his own selfish needs and desires by claiming it to be God's will. I do not take any heed to any doctrine or belief of any church/faith that is contrary to the most basic biblical teachings especially when the end result is self gain and power.
You said you believed all catholic doctirne was absolutely biblical, but by your own admission above it certainly isnt and this should be of great concern to catholics who have great faith because they are basing their faith and salvation on doctrine introduced over the centuries by man. I firmly believe God's word was protected by God until it was completed and as I said when you were an athiest the bible is the most scrutinized book in histroy and no-one can prove it wrong, many things were foretold in the bible hundreds of years before they happened.
If I had a choice between the numbers in one church having a very large following but had many unbiblical practices or attending a church with only a few members who base there faith and salvation on the bible as clearly taught in the bible then I am with that church.

This religious love-in between you two is a bit weird. This time last yr, I could never imagined a discussion like this occuring. At this rate, BA will soon be defending the union, while WASP will be demanding the immediate establishment of a united Ireland!!!!!!!!

It's not that I regard myself as less republican, merely what I mean by that and how ultimately important it is have changed for me as priorities. As I've said to WASP my view of republicanism is now closer to Sheehy-Skeffington or similar figures than it would be to Pearse or similar figures. On the subject of this thread you certainly won't be finding me defending the Irish Church's hierachy who have seriously abused their positions, there is a priest Fr Canny who has said that their behaviour has been the exact oppossite of Christ's and I have to agree, we're told not to judge individuals as Christians but we can judge their actions if not their souls and the actions of the Irish Church have been abominabdle.
