Turns out his senior foreign policy adviser is an Irishwoman, Harvard Professor, Samantha Powers. ksgfaculty.harvard.edu/Samantha_PowerCould be handy having someone on the inside of the upper echelons of Washington, especially when it comes to U.S. foreign policy.

Nah, he's too slick for me. There's something dodgy about him.

Nothing could stop big Billy from wandering. He has a thing for fat birds and Hilary is like a fucking skeleton.

I'd like to see a non-clinton/bush win for a change. Soon, Americans will be witnessing direct transfers of power in a hereditary hierarchy if they're not careful!

Hillary. The entire USA set-up needs a spring clean. Let the Lady of the House do her job.

I see she has been caught lying again. I know. Giant size porkies this time. Still, they're all the same...politicians.

They certainly are all the same, only she has been caught big time. Why make up such a terrible lie when she was greeted the way she did. Nothing short of nasty if you ask me.

Hello everyone! As an American I must say the thought of Obama or H. Clinton as President scares the wits out of me. It's not the idea of someone of another race or a woman in power as I'm sure it will happen sooner or later, but it's these two. As for Clinton, I don't think she has what it takes and I question her integrity. Also if she can be mislead by her unfaithful husband who she is suppose to know better than anyone, how can she not be mislead by false information from others in power who she doesn’t know as well. And what do we know about Obama? It seems as if he came out of the air with not enough political background to make a safe judgment which gives the impression that he has been put up by others who wish to remain secretly in the background. Scary!!!

Hi LL and a very big welcome to your good self. For me I was given my preferance between these two rather than who I want to win.

I'm actually coming around to the idea of a McCain presidency. He seems likable. Although I have to admit I do not know a lot about any of the candidates policies.

Hello Setanta and thank you for the welcome back. I can completely understand your consideration for Hillary as the next American President. I guess when it comes down to it they all have some good points and I know at this stage every negative thing is pointed out. My problem has always been that none of our Presidents can truely understand the plight of so many Americans because most of them have never had to live as most of us do....from pay check to pay check. They have never had to wonder if they have enough money in their pockets to put food on the table or have had the terrible responsibility to decide if the small amount of money they have should buy food to feed their family or themselves or buy the medicine they need or a family member needs to stay healthy or buy a pair of shoes desperatley needed. Until we have a President that has lived the average life of an American there can be no understanding of our real homeland problems.

Hi LL and a real warm Irish welcome to you, thank you for coming back to join us. On your point about polititions, I guess all the countries of the world suffer from that problem, the problem of their political representatives not having lived in their shoes. It is particularly bad situation in America, considering the sums of money needed to run for president, I can't see a poor working class man or woman ever being able to have that chance. Then again, Tony Blair nor Gordon Brown are exactly broke. The same can be said for Berti Ahearn. But at least in the UK and Ireland working class people can get into goverment, the problem there is that when they get there they forget where they came from.
