I think you missed out on England as well leeside. The anthem row along with the fact that the Ireland team does not represent me. I personnally know one of the players and I have in the past wanted them to win because of him, but I am no rugby fan. The only teams I like are Australia and New Zealand.
I have no interest in the rest and even less interest in the Ireland team becasue of the anthem row.

Yeah, the anthem row has really turned off alot of unionists for sure. Not all, hopefully.
Technically, the Irish Rugby team does represent you as its an all Ireland team but I understand your reasons for not supporting them. Same reasons as why nationalists in the north feel that the NI football team doesn't represent them, I guess.

Yeh leeside its very fucked up, up here. If the N.I football team was an all Ireland team and the anthem row was the otherway around you could only imagine the reaction of people in the republic and rightly so.
If an Ireland game was on the tv I would change it over and I know many who would do the same and I am not talking about hardliners etc, I am talking about moderates and even those who have no care for politics.

Same goes for Wales. In Limerick its played and supported by the working class aswell as the 'public school boys'. |

I never went to public school but I played rugby for my school and the town I used to live in, but I hated playing even though I was told to stick at it. Lost all interest in the sport and never follow it but I do take a little interest when it concerns Oz or NZ.
N.Ireland football team represents N.Ireland and not both countries on this island the way rugby is meant to. The same goes for the republic football team. IMO a N.I rugby team should be formed and fuck those who run the Ireland squad. (by that I don't mean managers etc)
